I do not accept the present however
tightly woven its Fabric—
I, a poet, I dare to take up the Thread
given to me this day,
put into my hand,
by Psyche Divine—
I will weave anew the Fabric of this
world, day by day;
and year by year, I will weave a Vision
throughout all my poems,
until I die.
I am well aware, I am not a corporate
CEO, I am not a general,
I am not a Senator, nor a presidential
advisor, I am not the President.
I do not belong to an elite ruling family
of this world,
I am not privy to the inner circle of
secret global conspirators.
I have no money. I do not own property.
No one works for me.
But dare I say, that will not stop me, I
will sing nonetheless.
I have been given something greater than all the world—
A
Vision of Divinity
I, a poet, a mere poet, perhaps some
might think, but boldly I claim
I
am redirecting this world on a different course—
Through me, this Vision executes its commanding,
evolutionary intention,
that it might be the inspiration of our
renewal, the fountainhead of new culture,
perhaps even the divine fountainhead of the
coming religion of the future,
of all that the Mythos might reveal.
Do I sound grandiose in my claim?
But I am not alone in my claim, and will
not be alone—
Any of you can receive this Vision of
Divinity
It is
coming to all of you
And when you do receive, each of you, in
your own way,
I dare say, you will find, you cannot
help but speak likewise—
You
will know firsthand.
And there is no doubt, despite what may
come,
across what distances & barriers,
I remain your poet, forever I remain your
poet;
and you—
What magnificence are you?
And you & I will weave anew
the Fabric of this sick, self-destructive,
power-mad
& miserly world
together
