Earth—
Why can they not get it right?
Why can they not print your name properly?
All too often I find you slighted; I cringe
when they give you this small, common, merely thing name.
You, the living glory of our home, you are entitled to be
the proper name of our planet.
Other planets are so honored, you deserve likewise—
One might think it were some kind of conspiracy.
Earth, can they not show respect, learning the printing
of your name properly, boldly, beginning with a capital E.
My dear Earth, this is my hope—
That all from now on will be able to read
your correct name, your proper name:
