A call to liberate!
So much to liberate!
Liberate the Sun, for the Sun is the source of us all
Liberate the Moon, for the Moon will drive us mad
with divine poetry & love
Liberate the Sea, for the Sea is Memory of our heart
Liberate Earth, for Earth is a mother who brings us forth
Liberate the trees once planted now bearing fruits
we in childhood dreamed of
Liberate the ten thousand leaves quivering in the western breeze
like ten thousand tongues of the Spirit's mediums
Liberate the eagle winging through the void where come all
our visions
Liberate the sparrows teaching us how to cleanse ourselves
in mere dust
Liberate the butterfly of beautiful temptation
Liberate the dew of morning that the Sky of afternoon
may gently sigh
Liberate the prophetic hour of twilight
Liberate the Stars blasting us with the emanations of quintessence
straight to our heart
Liberate the soil that the worms may conjoin & multiply,
that the seedling may take root & one day be the secret
of the flower's kiss
Liberate Silence, pregnant with tongues—
Out of Silence comes
the lightning utterances of the snake
the thunderous vowels of the lion
the alliterative laughter of the jay
the whispering sadnesses of the willow
the quavering heart melodies of the whale
Silence with owl eyes too that watch & wait
Out of Silence the sword of Sound & Light comes,
resonate from the heart—
O liberate the voices imprisoned!
Liberate Song!
Liberate the tongues of Silence!
