As a visionary poet, as a poet of mythopoesis, I have worked with living symbols for years. I am not talking about the clever literary or marketing manipulation of dead symbols—symbols as cultural coin—but of identifying those symbols, those ciphers, that are alive on the psychospiritual level and that can become for you a constant fount of insight, inspiration, and spiritual illumination. How to identify the symbols that for you are living? What are your living symbols? Your living symbols are the beacons on your Path.
It does not matter what medium you work in—any of the traditional art forms, to breaking into something totally new, to teaching, to wanting to transform your life and relationships—it comes down to tapping into the Fountain of Creativity.
